Own and coordinate the day-to-day press office activities and help drive reactive and proactive media work.

  • Support with pitching stories to journalists and developing media contacts.
  • Coordinate storyteller, influencer and ambassador activity and help improve team processes.
  • Assist in drafting, proofreading and producing media materials and coverage reports.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • support the day-to-day running of the press office, while taking ownership of key administrative processes and helping to coordinate storyteller, influencer and ambassador activity.
  • support reactive and proactive media activity, monitor the news and media landscape, coordinate interviews, draft and proofread media materials, and produce media coverage reports.
  • you'll have the opportunity to build your PR skills by supporting with pitching stories to journalists, developing media contacts, and contributing ideas to improve the way the team works.

Requirements

  • a keen interest in PR and communications, with some relevant experience of working within a communications or marketing environment and an understanding of national media, social media platforms and news consumption habits and trends.
  • highly organised, detail-oriented and an excellent proof reader, with the confidence to spot errors and maintain high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • agile and adaptable, you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, can prioritise competing demands, and are keen to learn, develop and contribute new ideas.
