Run the marketing for a national auction house, from social media to the materials our partner agents use every day.
About The Auction Group
The Auction Group is a national auction house. We run traditional unconditional auctions through our own online platform, with a strong base in the North West and clients across the country. Much of our work comes through estate agents who refer their sellers to us.
The role
As our Marketing Executive you own The Auction Group's social media channels day to day. You also produce the materials that bring in new sellers and keep our partner agents supplied with marketing they can use. This is a hybrid role, usually 2 to 3 days a week at our Swinton office. We're flexible on the pattern for the right person, but it isn't a fully remote role.
What you will be doing
• Running our social media channels: planning, creating and posting content and replying to comments, with the content plan signed off rather than every post
• Designing prospecting letter templates for property owners, building the mailing list, sending through our online print-and-post service and tracking who responds
• Designing seasonal marketing assets for our partner agents and uploading them to the partner portal
• Building co-branded letter and card templates on the portal that partner agents can use with their own details
• Writing a short news update on the portal so agents know what's new
• Drafting automated email flows and building the templates in Brevo, ready for sign-off
• Editing short videos for social media
• Updating website copy and images, and spotting broken links or out-of-date content
• Contacting councils for their land and property disposal lists
• Preparing documents for partner agents
Training and support
We'll train you on our systems and on how a traditional auction works, so you don't need property experience. You'll report directly to our marketing lead and take on more as you grow into the role.
Who we are looking for
Essential:
• One to two years in marketing or social media
• Confident in Canva and a video editor such as CapCut (or similar)
• Clear writing and a good eye for layout
• A fast learner who works a problem out independently
Desirable:
• Experience with Brevo or another email platform
Package and benefits
• £30,000 to £35,000, depending on experience
• Hybrid working, usually 2 to 3 days a week in the office
• Full training on our systems and the auction process
• 28 days holiday including bank holidays
• Company pension scheme
• A five-minute walk from Swinton train station, with frequent trains to and from Manchester
• Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, no weekends
