Marketing & Content Lead

Responsibilities

• Plan, create and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Linked In
• Shoot and edit photos and short-form video on site, showing off the café, the seafront setting, our events and our team.
• Promote our events and private hire offering, working from the shared calendar with the Private Hire Coordinator.
• Plan content ahead in the shared events and content calendar, which management can see and contribute to.
• Build our local presence through partnerships and collaborations with businesses, creators and community groups.
• Grow our audience and engagement across our channels.
• Report monthly on reach, engagement, follower growth
• Ensure that all physical channels & website are maximised when promoting
• Campaign- based marketing for events & private hires
• Report on event enquiries driven by marketing

Requirements

• A proven track record running social media for a brand or business; please share examples.
• Strong photo and short-form video skills, including on a phone.
• A good writer with a feel for tone of voice.
• Self-motivated and consistent, delivering without being chased within 5 hours a week.
• Comfortable with scheduling tools, Meta Business Suite, basic analytics and Canva or similar.

Preferred

• Desirable: experience in hospitality or events, and knowledge of the Southsea and Portsmouth community.
