Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Social media and community management
  • Plan, create, and schedule organic social media content across our channels as part of the annual integrated media plan, maintaining a consistent and engaging presence
  • Actively manage community engagement, monitoring and responding to comments, conversations, and mentions in line with College brand guidance
  • Produce and adapt content natively for each platform, including short-form video for TikTok, Instagram, and other emerging formats
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow reach, build audience, and tell the College's story authentically across platforms
  • Support the management of sponsored and boosted social content in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Officer (Paid and Performance)
  • Content and storytelling
  • Find, develop, and publish student, staff, and alumni stories that bring the College's impact to life across digital channels
  • Present and interview for video content, drawing out stories from students, staff and partners as the recognisable face of our channels
  • Shoot and edit social-first video for reels, stories and other short-form formats, working quickly and independently to capture content as it happens

Requirements

  • Qualification or equivalent experience in design, marketing or communications.
  • Experience managing social media channels professionally, with a strong understanding of platform trends and audience behaviour
  • Confident and capable content creator with demonstrable experience producing platform-native photo and video content, including short-form formats
  • Experience planning and scheduling social media content as part of a wider campaign or editorial calendar
  • Strong storytelling ability, with the skill to find and shape compelling stories from across an organisation
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and engagingly across channels and audiences
  • A collaborative team player who is comfortable working across a small, integrated team and sharing knowledge to support collective delivery.
  • Confident, warm and engaging on camera, with experience presenting, interviewing or hosting
  • Desirable Criteria Experience managing sponsored or boosted social content, including basic audience targeting and budget management
  • Experience working with photographers, videographers, or other content creators to develop rich media content
