Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the continuing development and delivery of our Marketing and Business Management degrees
  • Lead, manage and promote the awards; teaching across the programme according to specialist knowledge
  • Advance pedagogy, research and knowledge exchange in the subject area
  • Develop Marketing and Business within a creative arts university; lead and deliver collaborative projects
  • Promote the courses to prospective students and teachers, both at home and internationally
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure inclusive student support and services
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other courses and departments to enhance student educational experience and outcomes
  • Build and maintain networks between education and industry; develop key partnerships and industry contacts

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in overseeing marketing or business projects from initial concept through to successful implementation
  • Solid understanding of both traditional and modern marketing and business management theories
  • Substantial knowledge of national and international developments in the sector
  • Experience in developing networks between education and industry
  • A national profile as an educator, industry professional and/or researcher is essential
  • Strong network of key partners and contemporary industry contacts
  • Ability to develop and deliver significant collaborative projects
  • Inclusivity in teaching practice and ability to promote the courses to prospective students and teachers both at home and internationally
  • Ability to work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ambition to equip students with the social and cultural capital for graduate opportunities and challenges

Preferred

  • Experience of leading awards is desirable
  • Expertise in contemporary business and marketing practice and industry technologies
