Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the comms strategy development for client briefs, identifying audiences, growth opportunities, building the cultural context, understanding the brand position amongst competitors, to develop a differentiating comms strategy and media behaviour; challenge conventional thinking; ensure the business problem is being addressed; run workshops; liaise with creative, PR and other agencies; drive collaboration across teams.
  • Own and develop the comms strategy for pitch briefs, building a robust understanding of the audience, working with audience science to build bespoke research (e.g., focus groups), and ensuring the strategy comes through in activation and big ideas.
  • Write thought leadership for the agency, attend conferences and talks, and network within the industry to stay connected.
  • Coach and mentor junior agency members who have strategic nous; optimise how we respond to briefs, plan, brainstorm, etc.; foster a culture of discussion and debate about the industry and culture; bring outside inspiration in.
  • Surface the award-winning work for clients, spearhead storytelling for each entry, and chase results to strengthen the entry.
  • Be engaged in team meetings and initiatives, participate in debates, brainstorms, and inspiration outings; lend support on accounts needing resource during absences or clashes.
