Job Summary

Own the end-to-end media planning process with cross-agency collaboration and audience-led strategy, turning insights into actionable plans that tie client objectives to channel mix and reach targets.

Channel Strategy: translate objectives into media mix, flighting, reach and frequency plans across online and offline channels.
Audience & Insights: convert behaviors into segments and actionable recommendations with the Investment team, guiding tactical plans and client storytelling.
Mentorship & Gatekeeping: serve as the first reviewer for assistants, mentor junior planners, and ensure data-driven, cohesive presentations across client work.

Responsibilities

The Planner maintains and grows a foundational knowledge of both online and offline media channels
Collaborates with Investment, Redbox (Analytics) and Strategy team members to ensure actionable audience insights are incorporated into strategic recommendation
Manages weekly status calls and serves as the main point of contact with clients
Manages client budgets and upkeep of flowcharts to maintain holistic media plan accuracy
Monitors the pulse on changing media and client trends
Collaborates on tactical presentations with the Investment team, assuring a clear story and approach which is built around the strategic presentation.
Masters tools like Vivvix/Pathmatics, YouGov, MRI/Simmons, Infegy, Commspoint, RBOO and questions data and usage rigorously
The first ‘gatekeeper’ and reviewer for Assistant’s work.
Articulates a strong understanding of quantitative media strategy elements – media mix, role of channel, reach and frequency, flighting strategy, etc.
Fully comprehends client business objectives and the role media is meant to play in accomplishing them
