Job Description

Responsibilities

Own and manage all organic social media channels for the auction business, including Instagram, Threads, X, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
Engage actively with automotive communities on Reddit, forums, and social platforms to foster community growth and sentiment
Develop and maintain a comprehensive content calendar, planning and scheduling posts across all channels
Create, shoot, edit, and publish engaging video and static content tailored to each platform’s audience and format
Monitor engagement metrics, community feedback, and sentiment to inform content strategy and community management
Participate in relevant online discussions, threads, and forums to promote Cars & Bids auctions organically
Drive live auction participation by promoting upcoming events, offers, and content drops through organic channels and email campaigns
Craft compelling top-of-funnel promotional emails to attract new users and retain existing community members
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop channel-specific strategies, defining KPIs and tracking performance against goals
Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey, reducing drop-offs between discovery, submission, and auction participation

Requirements

2-4 years of experience creating and publishing social media content, preferably in a highly engagement-driven environment
Deep personal involvement and familiarity with car culture, including active participation in Reddit, TikTok, automotive forums, and related communities
Strong understanding of social media metrics, analytics, and how they relate to business performance
Proficiency in native social video production, including shooting, editing, and publishing content directly from a smartphone
Ability to create static visual content independently without relying on handoffs
Experience managing email marketing campaigns in conjunction with social media efforts to increase engagement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse social platforms
Highly organized with the ability to plan and execute a content calendar across multiple channels
Knowledge of social listening tools and strategies is a plus
Professional background in video production or automotive industry experience is advantageous
