Own the end-to-end creation of athlete-forward visual storytelling and brand-aligned design across social, digital, and partnerships, collaborating with social, marketing and talent teams to bring narratives to life while leading visual identity evolution and multi-channel campaigns.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Creative Design & Execution
Design high-quality, on-brand creative across social, digital and marketing channels
Develop graphics, templates and visual systems that establish a fresh, contemporary and consistent identity for @the.team.baseball
Execute a range of assets including player announcements, signings, draft content, gameday content, milestones, brand partnerships and marketing collateral
Support motion design and short-form video editing as needed
Athlete & Cultural Storytelling
Translate player moments, partnerships and milestones into visually compelling, social-first creative
Collaborate with social, marketing and talent teams to bring athlete narratives to life
Stay tapped into MLB, MiLB, NIL, athlete and broader cultural trends to inform creative direction
Identify visually relevant ways to introduce younger and emerging players to new audiences

Requirements

2+ years of experience in graphic design, preferably within an agency, brand or sports/entertainment environment
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing or a related field
Strong portfolio showcasing digital, social and brand design work
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and familiarity with motion tools such as After Effects and Premiere Pro
Experience designing for social platforms, with an understanding of best practices across Instagram, TikTok and emerging channels
Ability to translate data, research and sports information into visually compelling, easy-to-understand graphics and layouts
Strong understanding of typography, layout, color and visual storytelling
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality execution
High standard of excellence, with the flexibility to work nontraditional hours when needed and anticipate challenges with thoughtful communication
Strong knowledge of the baseball culture and the wider sports landscape
