Job Description

Responsibilities

Serve as the senior day-to-day client lead across multiple beauty, lifestyle and consumer accounts while building trusted client relationships
Develop and execute strategic communications plans that align with brand objectives and deliver measurable business impact
Lead proactive media relations strategies and cultivate strong relationships with editors, producers, freelance writers, podcast hosts, tastemakers, creators and industry leaders to secure impactful national, regional, broadcast, business, trade and digital coverage
Develop compelling story angles, executive thought leadership platforms, founder positioning, product launch strategies and culturally relevant news hooks that maximize brand visibility and relevance
Lead integrated earned media programs – including celebrity, expert, ambassador and influencer initiatives – as well as executive interviews, press events, product launches, experiential activations, media tours, desksides and strategic mailers
Manage six-figure client budgets while ensuring programs are delivered on time and within scope
Lead, mentor and develop internal account teams while overseeing day-to-day account execution
Collaborate cross-functionally with influencer marketing, social media and creative teams to execute integrated client campaigns
Present strategic recommendations, campaign results and new opportunities to clients with confidence and executive presence
Support business development initiatives through proposal development, strategic thinking and participation in new business pitches

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field
7+ years of public relations experience, preferably within an agency environment
Extensive experience leading integrated PR programs for beauty, lifestyle, wellness and consumer brands
Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of today's media landscape, pop culture and earned-first storytelling
Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
Outstanding leadership, organizational and client management abilities

Preferred

Deep relationships across beauty, lifestyle, wellness and consumer media; food & beverage media relationships are a plus
Proven success launching products, building founder and executive visibility, and securing high-impact earned media
Experience working with celebrity talent, brand ambassadors and high-profile partnerships
Experience working with both privately held and publicly traded companies, with an understanding of navigating global teams and multi-agency environments
Proficiency with Cision, Meltwater, Klear, Tribe Dynamics and Microsoft Office Suite
