Brief Description
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting warehouse operations within a fast-paced direct mail production environment. This position ensures the efficient receipt, storage, movement, and distribution of materials used in mail production, including paper stock, envelopes, inserts, packaging supplies, and finished mail products. The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production schedules, and ensuring timely shipment of customer mailings while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Store and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pull and stage paper, envelopes, inserts, ink, packaging materials, and other supplies for production jobs.
  • Deliver materials to production departments according to work schedules and production requirements.
  • Remove finished products from production lines and transport them to shipping or storage locations.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by palletizing, shrink-wrapping, labeling, and completing shipping documentation.
  • Assist with USPS mail preparation, postal verification, and mail transportation activities as required.
  • Perform inventory transactions using warehouse management systems, scanners, or manual records.
  • Conduct cycle counts and participates in physical inventory audits.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies to management.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with production, shipping, quality, and management teams to ensure workflow efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification and safely operate equipment: forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics experience required.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use inventory tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and material handling procedures.
  • Ability to read work orders, receiving documents, and inventory reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or production experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and occasional bending
  • Regular lifting up/moving up to 55 lbs. on a consistent basis
  • Periodic stooping, pinching, and gripping
