Responsibilities

• Build the ambassador and KOL program from zero. We’re creating two tiers: a group of clinically credible KOL advisors — dermatologists, aesthetic physicians, longevity practitioners — who anchor our educational platform and lend real authority to the category, and a wider layer of practitioners, estheticians, and clinicians who dispense the product and speak about it in their own voice. You’ll identify them, recruit them, structure the partnerships, brief them, and keep them engaged over time.
• Own press and podcasts. Consumer press, trade publications that dermatologists and aesthetic practitioners actually read, and the podcast relationships that build founder and category authority. You’ll do this through your own relationships rather than a retainer agency, and you’ll know which outlets and conferences matter and which are a waste of money.
• Design and build our affiliate program. Not manage an existing one — build it. The commission structure, the attribution, the tooling. It spans creators and a clinic-side layer of nurse practitioners, RNs, PAs, and aestheticians who have their own audiences and their own credibility with patients.
• Build and hold the community. The waitlist, the founder's circle, and the practitioner network already forming around this brand. These are the people who will carry Epillon's story further than we can push it.
• Brief and activate every partner. A KOL, affiliate, or creator is only as good as the direction they're given. You'll turn Epillon's category narrative into sharp, specific briefs for each partner and channel, and you'll source and manage the content that comes back, from ambassador posts to creator-produced video, so what goes out matches the story we're telling everywhere else.
• Design and run the go-to-market communications campaign. Map the arc from now to launch and beyond, what story we tell at each stage and which audiences hear it first. Pre-launch, that means building the roster, structuring the deals, and lining up coverage against a plan, not just accumulating relationships. At launch, it means firing a coordinated wave across every channel, timed so the moment reads as a moment rather than a date on a calendar.

Requirements

• Experience building an affiliate, ambassador, or influencer program from the ground up at an early-stage or scaling brand.
• Background in beauty, skincare with strong preference for physician-dispensed or clinically-positioned brands.
• Established relationships with dermatologists, aesthetic practitioners, KOLs, creators, and beauty or trade press.
• Demonstrated success generating earned media for brands without significant paid budget.
• Experience structuring partner compensation, including commission models, affiliate economics, and equity-based partnerships.
• Track record of building brand credibility in categories where trust and expertise matter more than reach.
• Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action, comfort operating in ambiguity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment.
