Job Summary

Drive social media content creation and video editing for WOCOTM across YouTube and TikTok to raise awareness and engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok
  • Help brainstorm content ideas aligned with WOCOTM campaigns and programs
  • Edit short-form videos, reels, and TikToks (training provided if needed)
  • Support posting schedules and engagement (likes, comments, shares)
  • Assist with captions, hashtags, and storytelling that reflects our mission
  • Attend occasional virtual team meetings or check-ins
  • Create, edit, and upload video content for YouTube channel, including event highlights, interviews, and mission-driven stories
  • Optimize videos with compelling titles, descriptions, and tags to increase visibility
  • Develop creative and trending TikTok videos to showcase WOCOTM’s initiatives and events in a fun, relatable way
  • Research TikTok trends and adapt them to fit WOCOTM’s brand and mission
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and execute new ideas for engaging multimedia content
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to refine strategies and maximize reach
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and tags

Requirements

  • Experience or strong interest in social media management and video content creation.
  • Proficiency in video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, iMovie, CapCut) and social media tools (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite).
  • Knowledge of trends and best practices on YouTube, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
  • Creative mindset with strong storytelling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for WOCOTM’s mission and a commitment to uplifting diverse communities.
  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, InShot, or similar tools
  • Basic video editing or graphic design skills
  • Experience managing or growing social media accounts
  • Must have at lease (1 1/2) years experience
