Responsibilities

• Plan and execute photography and video shoots in homes throughout the DMV
• Photograph completed Alder & Ash staging and interior design projects
• Capture listing photography and property marketing assets
• Shoot both horizontal and vertical video depending on the project
• Edit and color-correct photography
• Edit short-form and longer-form video content
• Select strong images and footage from shoots
• Maintain an organized library of photo and video assets
• Work closely with our founders and creative team to develop visual concepts
• Capture candid behind-the-scenes moments without needing every shot to be scripted in advance

Requirements

• Foundational photography experience
• Foundational videography experience
• A strong understanding of composition, framing, exposure, and light
• Experience editing photography and video
• A portfolio or body of work that shows us how you see things
• An interest in architecture, interiors, design, real estate, hospitality, lifestyle, or visual storytelling
• The ability to move quickly while still paying attention to details
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively
• A willingness to receive feedback, experiment, and continue developing your craft
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to projects throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia

Preferred

• Experience with Matterport is also helpful, but we can teach it.
• Experience with architectural or real estate photography is helpful.
