Job Description

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on communications leader to build and lead EyePoint’s external communications function as we advance toward key Phase 3 data milestones and potential future commercialization.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will serve as a critical partner to executive leadership and will be responsible for shaping and executing an integrated external engagement strategy across investor relations, corporate communications, product and disease communications, and patient advocacy engagement.
The role will play a central part in defining and communicating the company’s narrative to investors, media, advocacy organizations, and future commercial stakeholders, ensuring a consistent and strategically aligned voice across all external audiences during a transformative stage of growth.
The ideal candidate brings deep biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry experience, exceptional strategic judgment, and the ability to translate complex scientific and clinical developments into clear, credible, and compelling narratives for diverse stakeholders. This individual will play a key role in supporting upcoming clinical data disclosures, increasing investor visibility, strengthening corporate positioning, and preparing the organization for commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications Leadership
  • Develop and lead an integrated external communications strategy aligned with corporate objectives, key clinical milestones, and commercialization planning
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on company positioning, messaging, stakeholder engagement, and communications planning
  • Build and maintain a consistent corporate narrative across investor, corporate, product, advocacy, and future commercial audiences
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Finance, Commercial, Clinical, Medical, Legal, and Regulatory teams to ensure coordinated and effective external communications
  • Identify communications risks and opportunities and help guide proactive engagement strategies
Investor Relations & Corporate Communications
  • Partner with executive leadership to support investor relations strategy, corporate positioning, and external engagement around major company milestones
  • Guide development of investor-facing and external communications materials, including presentations, messaging documents, press releases, and corporate updates
  • Support engagement with investors, analysts, media, external agencies, and other key stakeholders
  • Help translate complex scientific and clinical developments into clear, credible, and compelling external messaging
Product, Disease, Advocacy & External Affairs
  • Support development of product, disease-state, advocacy, and broader external affairs communications strategies in preparation for commercialization
  • Ensure alignment across scientific, medical, corporate, and commercial narratives and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Partner with internal teams, patient advocacy organizations, and external stakeholders to support patient-centered communications, awareness initiatives, and external engagement efforts
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of communications, investor relations, corporate affairs, or related experience within biotechnology/pharmaceutical industries
  • Demonstrated experience supporting late-stage clinical development programs and major data milestones
  • Strong understanding of biotech capital markets and investor expectations
  • Experience translating complex scientific and clinical information into effective external communications
  • Proven ability to operate strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and executive communication skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with executive leadership, clinical, medical, legal, and regulatory teams
  • Prior experience supporting commercialization readiness preferred
  • Public company and/or agency experience is a plus

The target salary range for this position is listed below:
Salary Range: $310,000 USD - $380,000 USD
