The Technical Content Strategist position will be responsible for driving the overall content strategy for UnitedHealth Group's internal IT knowledge platform servicing over 52,000 engineers. This individual will interface with executive-level leadership, platform teams, product owners, distinguished engineers, and other stakeholders to craft and define the experience on the internal Healthcare Platform knowledge site. They will be responsible for analyzing existing structures and charting a roadmap to the new Unify structure. This individual should be a highly capable communicator able to broker agreements and collaboration across a broad range of constituents.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and defines enterprise-wide content strategy for technical documentation
  • Leads taxonomy, information architecture, and metadata standards
  • Partners with engineering and PM to set documentation priorities
  • Establishes governance, editorial guidelines, and long-term content roadmap

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in technical content development, content strategy, information architecture, or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in leading content strategy for large-scale documentation or knowledge platforms
  • 5+ years of experience in collaborating with engineering, product management, UX, and executive stakeholders in a matrixed environment
  • 3+ years of experience in designing or governing enterprise‑scale taxonomy, metadata models, or content governance frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience with structured authoring methodologies (DITA, Markdown ecosystems, schema-based content, or similar)
  • All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
