Role Description

We are seeking a highly technical, commercially minded Technical Account Manager (TAM) to support and grow strategic demand-side partnerships across our SSP, Sensei. This role sits at the intersection of programmatic strategy, technical integration, and revenue optimization, working directly with DSPs, agencies, and internal product/ad operations teams to maximize demand performance and unlock new monetization opportunities.

You will serve as the primary technical and operational point of contact for DSP partners—owning integrations, troubleshooting bid flow issues, optimizing supply paths, and ensuring seamless execution across programmatic pipes.

Role Overview

As a Senior Technical Account Manager, Demand, you will own the technical performance and operational health of a portfolio of strategic DSP partners. You will act as a key bridge between partners and internal teams, ensuring clean integrations, strong signal fidelity, and optimal auction performance.

You will work closely with Supply TAM and the rest of the revenue operations team to troubleshoot issues, enhance infrastructure, and unlock incremental revenue through technical optimizations.

This role offers exposure to high-impact initiatives such as containerization & AdCP/ARTF, identity frameworks, bidstream optimization, and performance-driven marketplace curation.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, technically curious, and comfortable operating at both a deep execution level and a partner-facing strategic level.

What You Will Do

  • Own the technical performance and health of a portfolio of DSP partnerships
  • Analyze bidstream data, logs, and performance metrics to identify issues and opportunities
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across the auction lifecycle (e.g., bid rate, win rate, discrepancies, IVT, signal loss)
  • Partner with Engineering and Product to diagnose bugs, prioritize fixes, and improve integrations
  • Lead onboarding and technical integration for new DSP partners and new endpoints
  • Drive improvements in key metrics such as bid rate, win rate, fill rate, and revenue yield
  • Provide partners with actionable, data-driven recommendations to improve bidding and performance
  • Support and lead testing initiatives, including A/B tests, new integrations, and feature rollouts
DSP Relationship & Technical Ownership
  • Act as the primary point contact for DSP partners, owning day-to-day communication and long-term relationship health.
  • Lead onboarding of new DSP integrations, including OpenRTB setup, endpoint configuration, and deal enablement.
  • Translate DSP needs into actionable requirements for internal product and engineering teams.
Programmatic Integration & Optimization
  • Manage and optimize OpenRTB bidstream integrations, including:
  • Supply chain objects (schain / pchain)
  • Identity signals (UID2.0, RampID, device IDs)
  • CTV-specific signals (IFA, app bundle, content metadata, podding signals)
  • Allow lists / block lists
  • Ads.txt lines
  • Monitor bid request / response flows, identifying issues around performance and any discrepancies with: Bid rate, Bid density, Win rate, Render rate, Timeout / QPS constraints, Troubleshoot VAST errors, low bid rates, render rates, timeouts, IVT flags.
Supply Path Optimization (SPO)
  • Work directly with DSPs to optimize supply paths, ensuring preferred access to high-quality inventory
  • Support creation and scaling of:
  • Private Marketplaces (PMPs)
  • Programmatic Guaranteed / Direct deals
  • Curated marketplace packages
  • Analyze auction dynamics to improve bid shaping, floor pricing alignment, and deal prioritization
Data Analysis & Performance Insights
  • Leverage log-level data and reporting tools to:
  • Identify revenue leakage and inefficiencies
  • Diagnose discrepancies between SSP and DSP reporting
  • Recommend actionable optimizations to increase spend and performance
  • Build and present performance reviews (QBRs/ABRs) with key DSP partners
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with:
  • Ad Operations to ensure campaign delivery and troubleshooting
  • Product & Engineering to improve bidder performance and feature adoption
  • Revenue Operations / Sales to align demand strategies with supply packaging
  • Provide feedback to shape roadmap priorities (e.g., identity, CTV enhancements, auction mechanics)
Required Experience
  • 4–7+ years in programmatic advertising, preferably within an SSP, DSP, or ad server
  • Deep understanding of:
  • OpenRTB protocols (2.5/2.6 preferred)
  • Programmatic deal types (Open Market, PMP, PG)
  • CTV ecosystem dynamics (SSAI, podding, app vs. device signals)
Technical Skills
  • Strong ability to read and troubleshoot:
  • Bid requests / responses (JSON)
  • VAST tags and error codes
  • Familiarity with:
  • Identity frameworks (UID2.0, RampID, etc.)
