Supply Chain & Fulfillment Manager (eCommerce)

Contract (6 Months)

Compensation: $43/hour – 38 hour work week

Location: California, Oregon, or Washington + Travel

Duration: May 1st – October 31st 2026

Hoselink is an eCommerce business known for high-quality gardening products, innovative watering solutions, and a strong customer-first reputation. With continued growth in the USA market, we are seeking an experienced Supply Chain and Fulfillment Manager (Maternity Leave Cover) to provide leadership continuity across our supply chain, 3PLs, and fulfillment operations.

This role is critical in maintaining operational stability and ensuring seamless execution across multiple warehouses and stakeholders during the leave period.

Role Overview

As the Distribution Planning & Fulfillment Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end operations management across inventory, warehousing, inbound freight, and fulfillment. You will lead day-to-day execution while also identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen operational processes.

This role requires both strategic planning and hands-on execution across day-to-day operations.

This is a hands-on, data-driven role requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced eCommerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Planning & Control

  • Oversee daily operations across warehouse, inventory, and fulfillment functions
  • Forecast and allocate inventory across warehouses and 3PLs to optimize for inventory turn and fulfillment efficiency
  • Monitor inventory levels using systematic procedures to maintain appropriate product availability across multiple warehouse locations
  • Monitor and address stockouts, order surges, excess inventory, and slow-moving inventory
  • Lead demand planning discussions with internal stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Production Planning to identify and resolve inventory anomalies
  • Partner with Marketing and Production Planning to align inventory availability with customer and marketing commitments
  • Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts and reconciliation

3PL & Fulfillment Management

  • Manage relationships with 3PL partners to ensure service levels are met
  • Ensure clear communication of priorities and accountability across teams
  • Oversee performance across multiple warehouse locations
  • Ensure consistent, on-time order fulfillment performance
  • Monitor workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions
  • Identify and implement process improvements within warehouse operations
  • Conduct on-site visits to 3PL warehouses as required
  • Ensure inbound shipments are received accurately and recorded correctly
  • Run structured SLA reviews and QBRs, holding partners accountable to performance expectations and contractual commitments
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture across partners, setting clear KPIs and action plans
  • Act as the primary escalation point and strategic relationship owner with U.S. logistics partners

Freight & Supplier Coordination

  • Own end-to-end inbound logistics planning, including shipment scheduling, mode selection (air/ocean/ground), and coordination with freight forwarders
  • Lead transportation strategy and carrier management to optimize service levels, freight spend, and routing compliance
  • Oversee customs clearance processes, working closely with customs brokers to ensure compliance, accurate documentation, and timely release of shipments
  • Coordinate inbound freight with freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Make trade-off decisions across cost, service levels, and inventory availability, including expediting shipments, reallocating inventory, and managing supplier timelines
  • Liaise with suppliers to manage production timelines, shipping schedules, and order consolidation
  • Monitor landed costs and identify cost-saving opportunities

Performance & Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and report on key operational metrics including:
  • Inventory accuracy
  • Fulfillment productivity
  • Margin performance
  • Drive cost optimization across freight, warehousing, and fulfillment
  • Monitor and manage inbound performance metrics including supplier OTIF, freight lead times, and landed cost accuracy
  • Provide regular performance updates and actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Partner with internal teams to integrate Warehouse Management Systems and Data Warehouse
  • Support inventory accuracy, order flow, and financial reporting within the Data Warehouse

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing end-to-end eCommerce operations, including inventory planning, 3PL management, and multi-warehouse fulfillment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and reporting tools, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions
  • Proven track record of improving fulfillment performance, inventory accuracy, and cost control
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Passion for gardening or outdoor products is a plus
  • U.S. permanent residency or citizenship required
