JOB SUMMARY:
The Cardiac Cath Lab nurse is a RN Registered Nurse who specializes in assisting with catheterizations. They monitor and examine patients prior to procedures, as well as during and after. They also administer medications and assist the medical team in whatever they may need during the procedure. The RN Registered Nurse assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
BLS required prior to orientation completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years RN Registered Nurse ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, or surgical experience
