Job Description
Responsibilities
- Learning and mastering the modus operandi, strategies, and goals of the organization
- Independently manage projects for PETA's campaigns, including conducting research
- Help develop and execute initiatives to push animal rights issues into public consciousness through the placement of advertisements on multiple mediums
- Develop and execute initiatives to push animal liberation issues into the media spotlight:
- o Brainstorm concepts for ad design, work with Production to design ads, identify target markets, mediums, and audiences for placement, coordinate pitches for placement of ads, and work with Media Relations to contract ad space
- o Liaise with the Marketing and Media teams to coordinate time-sensitive news releases and blogs related to our placements
- o Obtain documentation of placed ads
- o Monitor the effectiveness of ad campaigns and make suggestions for improvements as needed
- Support the Special Projects Division by sharing duties related to specific brainstorming meetings, as assigned
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor and the president
Requirements
- Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Ability to quickly acquire effective project management capability
- Ability to produce exceptional, accurate research and analysis
- Maintain extensive and current knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and editing skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to make sound judgments and work independently
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and follow through
- Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
