Job Summary:
American Marketing & Publishing (AMP) is seeking a Solutions Architect to bridge business strategy and software development. This individual will partner with leaders across Sales, Fulfillment, Operations, Marketing, and Executive Management to understand business challenges, design scalable software solutions, and guide implementation.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines business analysis, enterprise application architecture, and technical leadership. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable facilitating requirements sessions with business stakeholders as they are reviewing application architecture with software developers.
Pay: $160,000–$200,000 annually
Requirements
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Partner with business leaders to understand operational processes, identify business challenges, and uncover opportunities for improvement through technology.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Facilitate discovery sessions and gather requirements from stakeholders across multiple departments.
- Design enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and database solutions supporting AMP's core business operations.
- Architect solutions utilizing Microsoft .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core/.NET) and PHP/Laravel technologies.
- Develop architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
- Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions while balancing scalability, maintainability, cost, and speed of delivery.
- Provide architectural leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Development teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Conduct architecture and design reviews while promoting development standards and best practices.
- Identify technical risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
- Design and enhance systems supporting CRM, sales operations, order management, fulfillment workflows, customer onboarding, reporting, analytics, and internal workflow management.
- Mentor development teams and provide technical leadership across projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be considered.
Other Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Systems Architect, Lead Developer, or Senior Software Engineer.
- Experience gathering and translating business requirements from stakeholders.
- Strong background designing enterprise web applications using Microsoft .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core/.NET) and/or PHP/Laravel.
- Experience designing REST APIs, system integrations, and relational databases.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, security, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience mentoring software development teams and providing technical leadership.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure preferred.
- Experience supporting CRM, sales operations, customer service, fulfillment systems, workflow automation, reporting platforms, or business intelligence solutions preferred.
- Experience working within SaaS, subscription-based businesses, or marketing technology organizations is a plus.
