USA (Remote)
Posted 4 weeks ago
Job Description
This company is a residential solar EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) provider, handling the full lifecycle of solar and energy storage installations for homeowners — from initial design through construction, commissioning, and Permission to Operate (PTO), plus ongoing service across Connecticut. With flexible financing (cash, loan, lease/PPA), they make clean energy accessible while holding a high bar for quality and compliance.
The team is collaborative and precision-driven, valuing ownership and transparency both in the field and in the back office, with a shared goal of delivering a seamless customer experience from contract signing to PTO.
The Role
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, utilities, AHJs, and field operations. You'll review plan sets, submit interconnection and permitting applications, manage utility/AHJ portals, respond to RFIs, coordinate with engineering and project management on revisions, and shepherd projects through inspection and final PTO. Success in this role means strong utility interconnection expertise, sharp attention to detail, and relentless follow-through — Connecticut-specific experience is a plus.
What You'll Do
- Review solar/storage system designs against utility requirements before submission
- Submit residential interconnection (IC) applications to utilities
- File building and electrical permit applications with local AHJs
- Manage utility and AHJ portals — uploading documents, completing forms, keeping records organized
- Confirm accuracy of system specs, electrical details, equipment data, and customer info on all applications
- Track application status and deadlines, following up proactively to prevent delays
- Handle utility/AHJ RFIs, corrections, and follow-up questions
- Coordinate resubmittals between design, PM, and utility/AHJ contacts
- Monitor interconnection approvals and conditions, communicating requirements to the team
- Coordinate inspections and prerequisites needed for meter swap and PTO
- Own the path to PTO, confirming final approvals and documentation
- Maintain a current status report/database across all active projects
- Flag potential delays early (e.g., service upgrades, transformer constraints)
- Align permitting/IC timing with procurement and build schedules
- Stay current on Connecticut codes, utility tariffs, and program requirements
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in residential solar interconnection and/or permitting
- Comfort with utility and AHJ portals, spreadsheets, PDF markup tools, and reading electrical plan sets
- Solid understanding of residential solar EPC workflows, NEC/utility standards, and AHJ permitting — Connecticut experience preferred
- Sharp attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Strong written/verbal communication with utilities, AHJs, engineers, PMs, and homeowners
- Persistence and ownership to push applications through to approval
- Ability to read plan sets, single-line diagrams, and site plans
- Strong multitasking and time management across concurrent projects
- Sound judgment on when and how to escalate issues
Logistics
- Schedule: 4 PM–1 AM Beirut Time, Monday–Friday
- Location: Fully remote
- PTO: Request anytime with advance notice
- Salary: $2,500–$3,000 USD/month
- Open to remote applicants across all the Middle East and North Africa time zones.

Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth. Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar. The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way. When she reached the first hills of the Italic Mountains, she had a last view back on the skyline of her hometown Bookmarksgrove, the headline of Alphabet Village and the subline of her own road, the Line Lane.
