Responsibilities

• Research and write daily social media posts
• Follow relevant news and developments related to the film’s subject matter
• Turn complex medical and social topics into accessible, engaging social content
• Write posts around existing film clips, articles, interviews and other materials
• Maintain a consistent editorial voice and high standard of accuracy

Requirements

• Professional experience writing social media content
• Demonstrated writing experience covering health, medical, mental-health or significant social issues
• Excellent research, fact-checking and editorial skills
• Ability to write clearly and sensitively about complex subjects
• Experience with a documentary film, documentary series, publication, news organization, nonprofit or issue-driven organization strongly preferred
• Strong interest in documentary film
• MUST be based in the United States
