Own and execute The Pearl's multi‑channel social strategy, from platform management and rolling content calendars to on‑site content capture, editing, and proactive community engagement, while coordinating with marketing and sales.

  • Liaise with vendors, planners, and the SF events community

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Platform management and strategy
  • 2 posts per week on each of Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest, scheduled via Later.com.
  • Build and maintain a rolling content calendar aligned to seasonal marketing campaigns and booking windows.
  • Plan content in advance so channels stay active during high-volume event periods.
  • Community management and engagement
  • Respond to comments and direct messages in a timely, on-brand way, routing event inquiries to the sales team.
  • Engage proactively with vendors, planners, and partners in the San Francisco events community.
  • Monitor tags, mentions, and reviews, and flag anything that needs a response from leadership.
  • Reporting
  • Short monthly recap: what performed, ideas to grow.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing social accounts with measurable results — please share the accounts you've run and what you grew. Links required.
  • Comfortable with native platform analytics and able to explain what the numbers mean, not just report them.
  • Strong familiarity with Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok best practices, including current format and algorithm behavior.
  • Working proficiency in photo and video editing (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar). Portfolio of work you shot and edited yourself required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and schedule content well in advance.
  • Able to shoot on-site in San Francisco.
  • Passion for hospitality, events, and creative storytelling.
  • Established freelancer with other clients.
