Rocky Mountain Krawlerz is a Utah-based nonprofit organization dedicated to building an inclusive, community-driven environment around RC (remote control) vehicles. Through organized events such as rock crawling competitions, trail runs, and collaborative outdoor experiences, we bring together hobbyists of all skill levels to connect, learn, and grow.
A key focus of our mission is community impact through our outreach program, Rigs for Kids, an initiative designed to bring hands-on RC experiences to children facing physical challenges, recovery, or limited mobility.
We emphasize accessibility, creativity, sportsmanship, and technical skill-building while fostering a positive environment for individuals and families. Our long-term vision includes expanding access through community partnerships, dedicated RC environments, and youth-focused programs across Utah and beyond.
Role Description
This is a volunteer, remote role for a Social Media Content Creator. The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for planning, creating, and publishing engaging content across social media platforms to promote Rocky Mountain Krawlerz events, community initiatives, and outreach programs such as Rigs for Kids.
Responsibilities include designing visual content, writing compelling captions, engaging with the community, tracking trends, and collaborating with the team to ensure consistent branding and messaging. This role plays a key part in growing awareness, increasing participation, and supporting fundraising and sponsorship efforts tied to community programs.
Qualifications
Experience in content creation, social media posting, and caption writing
Understanding of social media strategy, audience engagement, and platform trends
Basic skills in photography, video editing, or graphic design (Canva, Adobe, etc.)
Ability to analyze engagement metrics and adjust content accordingly
Strong organization and consistency in posting schedules
Interest in RC vehicles, outdoor recreation, or community-focused initiatives preferred
