Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of a cohesive social media content strategy aligned with institutional communication goals and overall organizational strategy.
  • Ensure content contributes to positioning, reputation, and storytelling priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Social Media Coordinator to ensure content is strategic, informative, visually appealing, and fully aligned with institutional branding and messaging guidelines.
  • Help to coordinate content inputs, approvals, and timelines across stakeholders.
  • Produce high-quality social media content, including written copy, visual assets (graphics, infographics, interactive posts) and short-form video content.
  • Adapt content formats and tones for different platforms, including X, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Maintain social media content calendars, ensuring timely delivery and publication.
  • Monitor social media channels and engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages.
  • Analyze social media trends to guide content creation and improve engagement.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, or similar field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in social media management and content creation, video for social media.
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
  • Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
  • Type of contract and duration: International consultant Full-Time, 12 months (up to 48 months, subject to eligibility).

Preferred

  • Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
