When technologist and entrepreneur Vivek Ranadivé purchased the team in 2013, he committed to building a world-class arena in Sacramento. Golden 1 Center – opened in 2016 – is now recognized as the world’s most technologically advanced and sustainable arena in the world. Through Golden 1 Center and a $1 billion investment in the community, Sacramento is seeing dynamic economic growth, a revitalization in the downtown, and newfound energy shaping the next great American city.
