Responsibilities

• Take ideas from concept through capture, edit, and finish across Reels, TikToks, Shorts, Stories, and whatever the internet invents next
• Shoot, edit, and add type, motion, sound, and visual treatments that make the work better
• Create content that feels native to the platform, not like campaign leftovers chopped into 9:16
• Bring ideas before someone asks for them
• Spot trends, sounds, formats, memes, and corners of culture worth exploring
• Help develop recurring series, formats, and experiments for Dotted Line and our clients
• Bring a social-first point of view into broader campaign work
• Partner with the ECD and Social Media Supervisor while working closely with creative, strategy, account, and social teams
• Know when to push a client somewhere more interesting and when the brief is telling you something worth hearing
• Pay attention to what people watch, skip, share, save, and talk about, then use those lessons to make the next piece better

Requirements

• around 2–5 years of professional experience creating social content, video, motion, digital creative, or some useful combination of the above
• Have a portfolio or reel that includes work made for real clients, brands, or organizations, not only personal channels or projects
• Have experience taking an idea from concept into actual content. You’ve made the thing, not just been in the meeting about the thing
• Are comfortable shooting social content on a phone, camera, or both, with a working understanding of framing, lighting, composition, and audio
• Have experience editing short-form video and a good instinct for pacing, hooks, sound, and storytelling
• Understand motion graphics, animated type, and how movement can make an edit better
• Have experience creating work for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, and understand that each behaves differently
• Have a good visual eye and an appreciation for typography, composition, color, and design
• Know enough about culture and the internet to spot something interesting before it becomes a trend report
• Are comfortable working with client feedback, brand guidelines, deadlines, and the occasional curveball
