Join our team as a Catering & Convention Services Manager!

Step into a pivotal role as a Catering & Convention Services Manager where you’ll drive catering and convention success, blending creativity, client service, and business acumen to deliver exceptional experiences. As the leader for assigned properties, you’ll manage food and beverage sales goals, service clients/groups, and ensure every event exceeds expectations. Your expertise will shine as you collaborate with the Director of Sales or Director of Catering/Convention Services, helping the hotel achieve revenue, satisfaction scores, and sales targets.

This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM), overtime does apply and is calculated accordingly.

KEY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market Maven: Keep your finger on the pulse of industry trends, always a step ahead to spot new opportunities. Your market savvy ensures our property stays ahead of the curve and the competition.
  • Event Extraordinaire: Plan and execute events with flair, making sure every detail is just right and all changes are handled smoothly. From banquet orders to last-minute pivots, you deliver flawless experiences every time.
  • Community Champ: Shine at local events and stay visible in community circles, helping us build a reputation everyone remembers. When special promotions or sales blitzes roll around, you’re the enthusiastic team player who brings the energy!

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required; prior convention, event, or catering sales experience preferred.
  • Creative thinker with food, beverage, and event knowledge; strong verbal and written communication skills for negotiation and sales.
  • Valid driver’s license for the applicable state; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to work independently, multitask, organize, and present professionally.

Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel provides an elevated workplace experience near major Wisconsin attractions including Miller Park, Brookfield Square, and the Brookfield Conference Center. The hotel features an on‑site restaurant, The Craft Room, serving Midwestern‑inspired dishes and cocktails. With 21 meeting venues, the property supports business events and weddings in an upscale setting. Team members help maintain clean, comfortable guest rooms with mini‑refrigerators and support amenities such as indoor and outdoor pools. It’s a versatile environment suited for staff who enjoy serving a mix of business travelers, event guests, and families.
