Responsibilities

• Author and maintain JSON-LD schema markup via AEO/GEO component in AEM.
• Implement schema types covering client’s thought leadership, funds and media content.
• Drive Server-Side rendering (SSR) implementation to ensure page content is fully crawlable by LLMs and AI indexes.
• Research and develop long-tail keywords, conversational queries and contextually relevant prompts aligned to user intent.
• Partner with marketing and content teams to ensure content is structured for AI citation eligibility.
• Demonstrate value through clear KPIs and iterative optimization.
• Serve as a senior consultant to understand client’s SEO, content, and web operations, strategic priorities, and develop tailored strategic success plans and recommendations that drive clear, measurable outcomes in line with customer priorities.
• Partner cross-functionally with content and marketing leadership to identify key customer challenges, opportunities, and renewal risk, and drive remediation efforts across internal stakeholder groups to mitigate risk of traffic or citation loss on high-value pages.
• Champion the use of AI tools to create efficiencies in day-to-day processes, both internally and for customers, and help shape best practices that other team members can adopt.
• Take a consultative, senior-level approach to develop scalable strategic solutions across client’s products and services that drive customer outcomes, reduce churn, and demonstrate long-term account growth.

Requirements

• Deep SEO/AEO expertise: At least 10+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with 3+ years specifically focused on SEO/AEO (agency or in-house). You have a deep understanding of the "how" and "why" behind organic se arch and can speak credibly to both practitioners and executives.
• Technical fluency: You have experience leading comprehensive website audits and are confident making — and defending — advanced technical optimization recommendations.
• A results-driven, strategic mindset: You can provide actionable insights, prioritize them by impact, and confidently push back on client strategies with informed alternative recommendations, even in high-stakes or executive conversations.
• Data literacy: You are comfortable working with and extracting insights from data sets using Excel/Google Sheets, LLMs like Gemini and Claude, as well as other tools.
• Executive-level communication skills: You can clearly explain SEO/AEO concepts and strategic recommendations to internal and external teams, senior leadership, and executive sponsors, in both verbal and written formats.
• A continuous learner mentality: The search landscape changes weekly. You actively follow industry blogs and are considered a go-to resource on how AI and LLMs are shifting the future of SEO.
• Organization, ownership & leadership: You have a track record of managing your own book of strategic accounts across multiple projects, take pride in meeting deadlines and delivering clean, accurate work, and are comfortable mentoring or informally guiding less experienced team members. You will have to demonstrate excellent cross-team collaboration.
