Job Summary
Own the media relations engine for a travel, lifestyle PR shop, driving influencer partnerships and media storytelling to boost placements and press trips.
- Social & Influencer Ownership: own social and influencer relations for multiple clients, coordinating outreach and creator partnerships.
- Media & Storytelling: pitch stories to top writers, draft PR plans and releases, and identify relevant awards.
- Team & Growth: mentor juniors, oversee interns/coordinators, contribute to new business, and help raise client service standards.

Responsibilities

- pitch stories, trends and ideas to media contacts
- plan press trips, draft PR plans, write media appointments and releases, and identify relevant industry awards

Requirements
- BA in Liberal Arts, Public Relations, English, Journalism or related degree
- 3-4+ years of public relations and digital strategy experience including social media and influencer relations
- Media contacts with top writers and the ability to pitch stories, trends and ideas to both “go-to” contacts as well as new contacts
- Strong understanding of social media content creation, community management, and influencer marketing
- Self-motivated, possesses a strong work ethic and is excited to provide mentorship to junior staff members
- Experience pitching media and securing placement in meaningful publications
- Understands how to plan press trips, draft PR plans, write media appointments and releases, and identify relevant industry awards
- Participates in new business proposals and brainstorms
- Team player with focus and motivation to exceed expectations; contributes to building a positive team environment
- Ability to interact with senior executives and talent with a high level of service and professionalism
