Job Summary

Own media and influencer relations for travel and lifestyle PR with multiple clients, delivering earned placements, press trips, and high-touch client service while coaching junior staff.

Responsibilities: Lead media pitching, press trip planning, PR plan execution, and securing placements across a portfolio of clients.
Team & client growth: Mentor interns/coordinators and partner with senior execs to elevate campaign results and retention.
New business: Contribute to proposals and brainstorms to expand the client roster.

Oversee social media and influencer relations for an array of clients.
Be a strong communicator, strategic, creative thinker, passionate about team development and growth, and have a proven track record for outstanding campaign success and client retention.
Participate in new business proposals and brainstorms.
Plan press trips, draft PR plans, write media appointments and releases, and identify relevant industry awards.
Interact with senior executives and talent with a high level of service and professionalism.
Experience overseeing interns and account coordinators/executives.
Maintain stellar client relations.
Be a team player with focus and motivation to exceed expectations; contribute to building a positive team environment.
Experience pitching media and securing placements.

Requirements

BA in Liberal Arts, Public Relations, English, Journalism or related degree
3-4+ years of public relations and digital strategy experience including social media and influencer relations
Media contacts with top writers and the ability to pitch stories, trends and ideas to both “go-to” contacts as well as new contacts
Strong understanding of social media content creation, community management, and influencer marketing
Self-motivated, possesses a strong work ethic and is excited to provide mentorship to junior staff members
Experience pitching media and securing placement in meaningful publications
Understands how to plan press trips, draft PR plans, write media appointments and releases, and identify relevant industry awards
Participates in new business proposals and brainstorms
Team player with focus and motivation to exceed expectations; contributes to building a positive team environment
Ability to interact with senior executives and talent with a high level of service and professionalism
