Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Foundation Events & VIP Hospitality, will provide operational support for the USA Swimming Foundation, with focus on VIP hospitality, event planning, and communications strategy. Reporting to the Secretary & General Counsel, this position will be instrumental in driving fundraising and goodwill for USA Swimming and the Foundation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Events & Activations
- Develop, budget, and manage annual VIP hospitality and Foundation donor and alumni events, including activations at Pro Swim Series and national competitions.
- Design and manage hospitality events at the Olympic Games, including VIP experiences, ancillary activations such as watch parties, and donor and alumni engagement.
- Create and manage events surrounding the U.S. Olympic Team Trials, including overseeing VIP packages, fundraising experiences, and overall hospitality for USA Swimming and the Foundation.
- Golden Goggle Awards:
- Oversee and direct event logistics, including coordination with the National Team staff, any event planners, and other internal stakeholders.
- Lead and manage annual online auction by procurement and fulfillment of auction items.
- Lead and manage in-room fundraising experience.
- Develop and support Foundation fundraising events, such as annual Days of Giving, swim meet activations, and events with corporate partners.
- Brand Visibility/Marketing
- Collaborate with Partnership Marketing team to develop in-venue Foundation strategy for major domestic events.
- Steward new and existing partners, trustees, donors, and alumni.
- Manage Value-In-Kind donations from existing partners, including tracking, maintaining inventory levels, and executing fulfillment.
- Communications
- Create and lead the Foundation’s storytelling, brand voice, and creation of high-quality written and creative materials to support fundraising.
- Coordinate with the Senior Director, Communications, to create donor- and alumni-facing digital communications, including social media execution.
- Ensure consistent voice, tone, and messaging across all donor-facing platforms and campaigns.
- Align messaging with annual, leadership, major gift, and campaign strategies.
- Partner with Senior Manager, Development to establish a cadence of annual campaign communications.
Other Duties:
- Support Foundation administrative duties as needed.

- Readily establishes credibility and maintains confidentiality when necessary.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related business, sports management, philanthropy, related field, or equivalent.
- Minimum five years’ experience in event operations, VIP hospitality, and communications.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations or philanthropic preferred.
- Understanding of USA Swimming’s structure, role, objectives, and governing documents preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to travel domestically, up to 20% of the year.
- Must be able to lift up to twenty pounds.
- This position works in an office setting in the USA Swimming headquarters office in Colorado Springs, CO; must be willing to relocate to Colorado Springs, CO, or the surrounding area.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 annually.
- Bonus Eligibility: Based on company performance, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus target of 7.50%.
