  • Own the PR program across narratives and media outreach
  • Lead agency management and analyst relations

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the execution of Cvent’s PR strategy across all narratives—company announcements, product news, thought leadership, event coverage, executive visibility, and industry storylines.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day manager for Cvent’s US and European PR agencies, driving accountability, setting clear priorities, and measuring outcomes. (The Director of Corp Comm will provide strategic direction and support.)
  • Set the standard for how Cvent shows up in the media — directing agency efforts to build and maintain relationships with key journalists, editors, and contacts across technology, B2B, events, and business press, while ensuring a strong editorial calendar and media contact strategy underpin all outreach.
  • Draft and edit press releases, bylines, op-eds, briefing materials, media FAQs, and spokesperson talking points.
  • Manage Cvent's corporate awards program — identifying opportunities, coordinating submissions, and tracking recognition across key technology, business, and industry publications.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Technology/IT, Sales and Client Services teams to identify newsworthy moments and translate business milestones into compelling earned media opportunities.
  • Track media coverage, report on outcomes, and continuously optimize agency performance and press outreach effectiveness.
  • Support crisis communications preparation and execution as needed, in partnership with the Director of Corp Comm, PR agencies and Legal.
  • Serve as the primary Corporate Communications point of contact for Cvent's India-based PR team, providing regular direction, messaging guidance, and quality oversight for APAC and MEA coverage — ensuring regional output reflects Cvent's global narrative and brand standards.
  • Support Cvent’s analyst relations program, deepening engagement with top analysts at firms including Forrester, IDC, Gartner, and others relevant to the events technology and B2B SaaS landscape.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive communications experience spanning agency and in-house roles, with deep expertise in media relations, PR strategy, and executive communications.
  • Hands-on experience owning or co-owning analyst relations programs—including direct engagement with major firms.
  • Proven ability to manage and drive accountability from external PR agencies, including both US and international teams.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across multiple formats: press releases, executive talking points, bylines, briefing documents, media pitches, earnings scripts, and Board materials.
  • Experience supporting executive and investor relations communications, including All Hands, earnings scripts, CEO messaging, and Board-level preparation.
  • A collaborative, cross-functional working style—you know how to partner with Technology/IT, Marketing, Sales, CS, Legal, and Finance to surface the right story at the right time.
  • Results-driven mindset—you track metrics, report on outcomes, optimize programs, and are never satisfied with activity for activity’s sake.
  • Comfort operating with speed and precision in a high-accountability, fast-moving environment.
  • Familiarity with PR software, media monitoring tools, and analyst tracking/management platforms.
  • Background in B2B technology or SaaS is strongly preferred; events technology experience is a bonus.

Preferred

  • Experience at a public company, including working with Investor Relations or supporting earnings-related communications.
  • Multilingual communication capabilities or experience managing European media markets.
  • Previous experience at or closely with a major technology industry analyst firm.

Benefits

  • We also offer a competitive benefits package, details of which can be found here .
