Join Siemens Energy as a Field Service Engineer and become the key technical expert ensuring top performance and reliability of combustion and steam turbine generators. You’ll travel to customer sites to take on commissioning, troubleshooting, emissions tuning, and specialized maintenance activities that make a real impact in the power generation industry. You’ll apply precision techniques like metrology, alignment, modal, and vibration analysis to resolve challenging mechanical issues and optimize output. On every project, you’ll lead teams, collaborate closely with customers, and document results in clear technical reports – keeping safety, quality, and innovation front and center.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide on-site technical services for combustion and steam turbine-generators, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and fact-finding activities.
- Perform combustion dynamics and emissions tuning to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance.
- Support new unit installations with tasks such as steam turbine valve stroking and timing verification.
- Carry out precision metrology and alignment services using portable CMM equipment, scanning technologies, and CAD/GD&T principles.
- Lead teams of mechanics and contractors, collaborating with the customer and ensuring all work meets strict safety protocols.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology, or a High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of advanced field experience in Power Generation or Oil & Gas.
- Strong technical expertise in combustion and steam turbine generator systems, commissioning, troubleshooting, and emissions tuning. T3000 knowledge is a plus.
- Proficient in modal and vibration analysis, metrology, and precision alignment using CMM and advanced scanning equipment.
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and operational procedures independently.
- Willing to travel 85% domestically and internationally.
