Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of brand narratives, campaign ideas, and written executions for integrated and non-traditional campaigns spanning digital, experiential, content, and innovation-driven projects.
  • Work under ACDs/CDs to drive projects from concept through execution, translating strategy into compelling ideas and messaging while delivering strategically sound, client-ready work.
  • Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, strategists, technologists, and experience teams to develop concepts and bring them to life with exceptional craft and clarity.
  • Champion the brand voice, and also the voice of the consumer, giving ideas and work authenticity and a human dimension.
  • Ensure the quality and impact of writing meets both agency and client standards.
  • Step up into client facetime, writing and crafting the decks and getting clients hyped about the work, while listening to feedback and translating into creative action.
  • Be the senior creative in the room: solve problems, bring lateral thinking, support leadership and mentor more junior creatives (not just the writers).
  • Don’t just follow culture. Love it and know what’s real and what’s hype. Don’t just follow technology. Tinker, critique and always ask “what’s exciting about this?”
  • Inspire teammates through curiosity, experimentation, and a strong maker mentality.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of creative industry experience (or relevant equivalent), with at least 5+ years as a copywriter (or comparable level).
  • A portfolio of culturally relevant and insight-grounded work that includes narrative and comms, social and integrated, experiential and product writing and ideation.
  • Comfortable with AI, not just as a creative toolkit but as a product and channel. You’ve worked with prompt engineers and you’ve crafted a few yourself, building agents with personality as well as function.
  • Expert in conceiving and executing narratives through compelling content formats, including social, experiential, digital and retail.
  • You think holistically about brands and have experience crafting how they come to life through a persona, tone and voice, purpose, and positioning that inform copy guidelines and messaging toolkits as well as content and editorial strategies and franchises.
  • A creatively holistic point of view, respecting design, strategy and tech without always staying in your lane.
  • Strong presentation ability (IRL and virtual). You can convey a cohesive narrative to sell ideas.
  • Skilled in design tools, particularly Figma, and the spectrum of writing and presentation tools (including Microsoft 365, Google, Keynote).
  • An understanding of emerging technologies and concepts.
