Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic media and communications advice to senior executives on internal and external communications
  • Develop and implement integrated communications strategies that align with organizational priorities
  • Advise on issues management, including identifying emerging or contentious topics and recommending appropriate responses.
  • Bring a storytelling approach to content creation, draft and edit a wide range of content including media releases and statements; web content and social media posts; speeches, newsletters, blogs, and presentations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and journalists.
  • Respond to media inquiries
  • Conduct media monitoring and analysis to identify trends and inform strategy.

Requirements

  • Proactive communications planning
  • 360 communications capabilities, owning both internal and external communications strategies and execution
  • Creative capacity for storytelling across multiple channels and formats
  • Ability to manage a wide range of issues on a given day
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
