About The Role
As a Lead Developer, you will make an impact by owning the end-to-end technical design, development, and optimization of scalable, omnichannel SAP Commerce Cloud and SAP Hybris solutions for enterprise customers in the device's domain, ensuring robust performance, security, and maintainability. You will be a valued member of the SAP Commerce Cloud engineering team and work collaboratively with enterprise customers and cross-functional delivery stakeholders.
In this role, you will

• Own the end-to-end technical design, development, and optimization of scalable, omnichannel SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) solutions.
• Lead complex enterprise SAP Commerce and SAP Hybris implementations for customers in the device's domain.
• Design and build headless commerce architectures using OCC (Omni Commerce Connect) APIs.
• Integrate SAP Commerce with third-party services using REST/SOAP APIs, Data Hub, or SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
• Ensure robust performance, security, and maintainability across omnichannel commerce solutions.
  

Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Ankeny, Iowa.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered

• Minimum 12+ years in enterprise software development, including at least 8+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).
• Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE and the Spring Framework (Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Security).
• Expertise in the B2C Accelerator and platform customization/extension (e.g., ImpEx, FlexibleSearch, ServiceLayer).
• Proven experience integrating SAP Commerce with third-party services using REST/SOAP APIs, Data Hub, or SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
• Experience with OCC (Omni Commerce Connect) APIs and headless commerce architectures.
  

These will help you stand out

• Hands-on experience with Solr search engine integration and optimization.
• Strong understanding of REST design, HTTP methods and status codes, and implementation fundamentals.
• Solid unit testing fundamentals with JUnit and a sound integration testing approach.
• Ability to write and debug functional and integration tests.
• Experience delivering within a Kanban-based project delivery model.
  

The annual salary for this position is between $83,250- $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
