Shift First Shift (United States of America) Retail Pharmacist - Part Time Bellevue Medical Center As a Retail Pharmacist at Nebraska Medicine, you will partner with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications; providing clinical monitoring and drug information; ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations; and maintaining accurate records. You will also provide direction to pharmacy technicians and interns while helping coordinate daily pharmacy operations. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work across Nebraska Medicine’s retail pharmacy locations, including Durham Outpatient Pharmacy, Lauritzen Outpatient Pharmacy, Bellevue Medical Center Pharmacy, and Village Pointe Pharmacy. In addition, you will collaborate with the Centralized Services team at our Central Fill Pharmacy. This position includes one evening shift every other week at Durham Outpatient Pharmacy and one Saturday every third week at Bellevue Medical Center Pharmacy. Remaining shifts are self-scheduled. Working with the healthcare team, prepare, dispense, and distribute medication and provide clinical monitoring and drug information in a manner, which ensures optimal patient care. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations pertaining dispensing and maintenance of records. Provide direction and assist with organization of daily activities. Required Qualifications Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required. Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later) as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice required. Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients required. Demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment required. Preferred Qualifications Outpatient hospital pharmacy experience or retail pharmacy experience preferred. American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred. Experience with hospital EMR and pharmacy applications preferred. Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred. Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
