Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams to help ensure communication materials are organized, timely and aligned with branch needs.
  • Provide general administrative and tactical communications support for branch projects, programs and events.
  • Update and maintain websites, webpages and digital content to ensure information is current, accurate and easy to access.
  • Support the creation, organization, and maintenance of SharePoint pages, internal resources and employee-facing communication hubs.
  • Create and maintain both digital and physical branded materials including templates, flyers, presentations, and handouts
  • Provide photo and visual content support for events.
  • Support event communications and logistics.
  • Provide routine assistance to users of communications-related platforms and tools, including Canva, website systems and professional learning management systems.
  • Other duties may be assigned that are relevant to the civil service job description for this title

Requirements

  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations or communications and four years of experience in a position with public relations responsibilities, one of which was in a supervisory capacity; or:
  • Completion of a minimum of 60 semester credit hours and six years of experience in a position with public relations responsibility, one of which was in a supervisory capacity; or:
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting communications, public relations, marketing, branding, or related initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Initiative, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with staff across departments and communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of website content management, SharePoint, and digital communications best practices.
  • Experience creating digital and print communications materials.
