Responsibilities

System Superhero: maintain tracking and content management systems like the JED PR Asana Tracker, FINN PR Asana Tracker, JED/FINN Content Calendar, and PR tracker managed by Liza
Media Master: support media distribution list and reach the right people through CisionOne, TVEyes, and Campaign Monitor
Social Star: develop JED’s thought leadership on LinkedIn aligned with current news
Engagement Expert: create 'coffee chat' email templates to connect with journalists
Research Guru: dive into mental health and suicide prevention research to curate monthly news bulletin content
Inbox Ace: manage the JED PR media inbox, triage inquiries, collaborate with team
Communications Sidekick: draft talking points and respond to student interview requests for PR Director/Manager
The Big Project: lead a Time-Bound Project drafting a press pitch and media list for a real-world outreach campaign

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a U.S.-based college or graduate program or a recent graduate
Looking for an hourly internship (paid opportunity)
Legally authorized to work in the United States at time of hire and throughout internship
Not able to sponsor employment visas (now or in the future)
Academic credit considered; HR will review coursework for alignment, credit not guaranteed

Preferred

Familiarity with PR tools: CisionOne, TVEyes, Campaign Monitor
Adobe InDesign experience for lightweight layout updates
Strong attention to detail and ability to review graphics across marketing channels
