Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary PR lead for assigned client accounts
• Develop and pitch creative, strategic story ideas to local, national, and trade media
• Write and edit press releases, bylines, pitches, award submissions, and other copy
• Build and maintain strong media relationships
• Coordinate interviews, TV segments, and in-studio appearances
• Attend client meetings, events, grand openings, and milestones
• Track coverage and compile monthly reports using media monitoring tools
• Research industry trends, competitors, and timely news angles
• Prepare client summaries and lead executive-level discussions
• Represent local and national brands with professionalism and confidence

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or related field
• Strong command of AP-style writing and editing
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure
• Excellent presentation, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social platforms, and PR tools

Preferred

• Experience with Muck Rack, Smartsheet, Qwoted, and Critical Mention preferred
• 2+ years of professional PR experience , agency background strongly preferred
• Residence in the Phoenix metro area (local candidates only)
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
