Job Description

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary PR lead for assigned client accounts
Develop and pitch creative, strategic story ideas to local, national, and trade media
Write and edit press releases, bylines, pitches, award submissions, and other copy
Build and maintain strong media relationships
Coordinate interviews, TV segments, and in-studio appearances
Attend client meetings, events, grand openings, and milestones
Track coverage and compile monthly reports using media monitoring tools
Research industry trends, competitors, and timely news angles
Prepare client summaries and lead executive-level discussions
Represent local and national brands with professionalism and confidence

Requirements

Residence in the Phoenix metro area (local candidates only)
2+ years of professional PR experience
Proven success pitching media and securing coverage
Strong writing and editing skills with solid AP style knowledge
Strategic thinker with sound judgment and leadership instincts
Collaborative team player who takes ownership of accounts
Natural storyteller with curiosity and creativity
Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or related field
Strong command of AP-style writing and editing
Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure
Excellent presentation, analytical, and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social platforms, and PR tools
Experience with Muck Rack, Smartsheet, Qwoted, and Critical Mention preferred
