Job Description
Responsibilities
- The Project Specialist Communications of Foundation is responsible for coordinating, executing and delivering communication initiatives that support Beacon Health Foundation's fundraising, stewardship, donor engagement and brand awareness goals.
- This role serves as the operational hub for Foundation communications projects, ensuring campaigns, impact reports, stewardship initiatives, donor communications, events and digital communications move efficiently from concept through completion.
- Working under the direction of the Foundation’s Director of Communications, this role interacts with multiple internal and external partners and collaborators to manage timelines, workflows, approvals, vendors and project deliverables while helping maintain consistent messaging and an exceptional donor experience.
- Communications Project Management
- Manage Foundation communications projects from assignation through implementation.
- Maintain project plans, timelines, task lists and production schedules.
- Coordinate project meetings, status updates, approvals and stakeholder communications.
- Maintain communications planning tools, dashboards and project-tracking systems.
- Maintain records related to project deliverables and communications activities.
- Assist with reporting on campaign outcomes and communications effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-4 years of project management, communications, marketing, fundraising, nonprofit or related experience.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and project management tools.
Preferred
- Healthcare, nonprofit or foundation experience.
- Experience supporting fundraising or donor communications initiatives.
- Experience coordinating direct mail, digital communications, or content production.
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, CRM or donor database platforms.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Canva
- Familiarity with Adobe products, including Acrobat, InDesign and/or Photoshop.
