Job Description
Position Details
- Provides assistance to grant-related activities at the center.
- Assists Principal Investigators (PIs) with daily business processes associated with sponsored projects and center activities as well as the logistics and implementation of project-related meetings and events such as trainings, workshops, focus groups, advisory committee meetings, and conferences.
- Assists with meeting/event invitations and registration processes, promotion and marketing through website and other electronic media.
- Monitors expenditures within budget constraints.
- Coordinates event logistics for both online and in person meetings.
- Oversees administrative compliance with project-related time-keeping, expense reporting and procurement.
- Coordinates the hiring and onboarding of student research assistants.
- Ensures that all Rutgers protocols are maintained including risk management, emergency procedures, insurance, etc.

- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Problem solving skills, good organizational abilities, motivation and flexibility essential.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, Excel, Access) or comparable products
- Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks simultaneously
- Sustained attention to detail while maintaining awareness of important priorities
- Desktop and laptop computers.
- MS Office software: word processing, database, project management, and spreadsheet applications.
- Expected to use and be familiar with copier machines, fax, and other office equipment.
