Job Summary

Own and scale Slick’s product marketing across the UK and US, shaping messaging, launches, and customer adoption while driving expansion revenue and product-led growth with cross-functional teams.

  • Own launches, positioning, and customer education
  • Lead PLG strategy and market research to uncover growth opportunities
  • Create assets, support sales, and guide AI-driven discovery content

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • - Drive competitive positioning and messaging strategy across UK and US markets, tailoring go-to-market narratives for different segments (creative salon owners vs. business-minded, hair stylists vs. barbers, solos vs. large salons)
  • - Own product launches, feature positioning, and customer education—from internal kickoff to market release
  • - Own customer adoption from day one, then again with every major feature and product launch—making sure customers understand the value and know how to get the most out of what's new
  • - Drive expansion revenue by helping our customer base discover and adopt new features and add-ons that solve deeper problems and unlock more value from Slick
  • - Lead product-led growth strategy with the broader marketing team—a critical lever for scaling into the solo stylist and independent operator segment where PLG is our biggest advantage
  • - Research the market constantly: what’s changing, where are the gaps, what are salon owners actually frustrated by, what are competitors doing/not doing
  • - Collaborate with product and design on roadmap priorities—being the customer voice in the room
  • - Build marketing assets and campaigns that drive awareness and conversions (landing pages, case studies, email campaigns, social, video)
  • - Support the sales team with battlecards, ROI frameworks, and proof points that close deals
  • - Own product video production for AI discoverability—question-shaped content (screen recordings, walkthroughs) built for AI answer engines. Low production, high search intent: "how to sell packages in your salon" beats "introducing packages"

Requirements

  • - You’ve spent 3–5 years in product marketing (ideally at a B2B SaaS company). You understand the rhythm: researching customer problems, translating them into positioning, and making sure the whole company stays aligned.
  • - You can write. Messaging frameworks, positioning docs, case studies—they’re sharp and persuasive
  • - You’re genuinely curious about customers. You’ll run interviews, dig into data, talk to salon owners, not just sit in Slack
  • - You embrace ambiguity. You’re comfortable in a fast-moving environment where you’ll sometimes be inventing the playbook as you go
  • - You’re collaborative. Product marketers bridge a lot of teams—you need to influence without authority, stay calm under pressure, and keep everyone rowing in the same direction
  • - You're fluent with PMM tools. Analytics platforms (Mixpanel, etc.), customer comms tools (Intercom), data visualization tools (Tableau, Metabase)—you know how to pull signals from the noise and turn them into messaging that lands
  • - You move fast with AI tooling. NotebookLM, Claude Cowork, etc.—you use these to research faster, synthesize smarter, and ship more. You don't need to be an expert day one, but you're genuinely excited about what they unlock.

Preferred

  • - Beauty or wellness tech
  • - Appointments or scheduling software
  • - Payments or fintech
  • - You move fast with AI tooling

Benefits

  • - Competitive salary and benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, and more!
  • - 401k plan with company match on your contributions.
  • - Open PTO and a generous paid holiday schedule.
  • - Supportive work environment with the flexibility to work where/how you want – in-office, remote, or hybrid.
  • - Opportunities to ensure you are always learning and growing.
