Job Description

Responsibilities

Fact checking information for news releases and other materials.
Entering news articles and graphics into Penn State news database.
Maintaining list of media contacts and sending news releases.
Keeping track of college publicity.
Logistics for special events and video / photo shoots
Represent Strategic Communications at a variety of events and assignments on and off campus.

Requirements

Excellent writing and editing skills.
Basic graphic design knowledge.
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.
A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.

Preferred

Experience with creating social media posts, photography and videography is preferred.
