A communicator will own the creation and management of newsletters and coordinated campaigns, overseeing editorial quality and project delivery across Marketing & Communications, with a focus on digital content and timely execution.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create, write, and edit newsletters using Mailchimp and Microsoft Newsletter, including a weekly enewsletter distributed to students.
  • Develop and manage email campaigns that support college initiatives, events, and priorities.
  • Copyedit and proofread flyers, promotional materials, and internal communication pieces to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
  • Manage and track assigned projects in the college’s project management system, ensuring timely progress and delivery.
  • Collaborate with team members in Marketing & Communications to align messaging and maintain editorial quality across platforms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support communication goals and college priorities.

Requirements

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Experience creating digital content, preferably in Mailchimp, Microsoft Newsletter, or similar tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new software tools.

Preferred

  • Experience in writing-related fields, including marketing, communications, journalism or academics.
  • Knowledge of Canva strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management systems.
  • Understanding of brand voice, AP style, and content best practices.
