Role Description The Paid Observational Research Volunteer—Pregnant Mothers will participate in a full-time, on-site research study located in Jacksonville, FL. Participants will be asked to complete questionnaires or interviews about their health and lifestyle, and allow researchers to collect non-invasive health and behavioral data over time fully remote. Day-to-day activities may include tracking and reporting pregnancy-related information, following study protocols, and maintaining regular communication with the research team. Volunteers may be asked to provide access to medical records relevant to the study, participate in routine check-ins, and comply with timelines. This role involves no clinical treatment or medical decision-making responsibilities and focuses solely on observational data collection to support academic research.

Qualifications

  • Currently pregnant and willing to participate in an observational research study for the duration specified by the research protocol.
  • Must be in the first trimester
  • Ability to attend all required on-site study visits in Jacksonville, FL, and reliably adhere to scheduled appointments and follow-up sessions.
  • Comfort with completing questionnaires, interviews, and other data collection activities, including sharing accurate health and lifestyle information.
  • Capacity to follow detailed instructions, maintain confidentiality, and comply with all study procedures and institutional review board (IRB) requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact respectfully and clearly with research staff and other participants.
  • Willingness to provide informed consent, including possible access to relevant medical records as permitted and explained by the research team.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and openness to participating in long-term, observational research that supports maternal and child health outcomes.
