Strategic Leadership & Brand Management: Develop and oversee a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that aligns with the organization's mission, vision, and growth objectives.
Strategic Leadership & Brand Management: Serve as the primary steward of the brand, ensuring consistency and integrity across all messaging, visual identity, and digital platforms.
Strategic Leadership & Brand Management: Drive innovation in marketing campaigns, audience engagement, and digital presence to expand brand awareness and market penetration.
Strategic Leadership & Brand Management: Provide strategic insights to the executive team, contributing to organizational decision-making and long-term planning.
Marketing & Communications Oversight: Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing and communications team, including employees, contractors, volunteers, and interns, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
Marketing & Communications Oversight: Oversee the development and execution of all marketing materials, digital content, and campaigns, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Marketing & Communications Oversight: Direct the strategy and execution of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, content marketing, and social media engagement.
Marketing & Communications Oversight: Drive media relations strategy, serving as a senior spokesperson when needed and cultivating relationships with key media outlets to enhance public relations efforts.

Requirements

At least 10 years of progressive and proven senior leadership experience in leading marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
Expert-level understanding of digital marketing strategies, branding, content marketing, and audience engagement.
Strong track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that drive measurable results.
Experience leading and mentoring marketing teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
Exceptional storytelling and brand-building abilities across multiple channels.
Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.
Experience managing marketing budgets and optimizing resources for maximum impact.
Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, including Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), email marketing software, social media management tools, and CRM systems.
Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with experience in media relations and crisis communication.
Deep understanding of social media trends, content strategy, and paid media.

Preferred

Military experience, strong connection to the U.S. Military, or knowledge of the military community is a plus.
